Infertility Support and Discussion
I'm pretty sure I ovulated on Saturday (8/1). How many days of high temps do I want to see? I ordered Taking Charge of Your Fertility from Amazon but it hasn't arrived yet. If I don't want to spend $30 in pregnancy test kits, will a BBT in the morning help to show I might be pregnant? I bought a 3 pack of tests last month for $17 and tested at 10 DPO, 11 DPO, and 12 DPO and each was negative (and disheartening). I felt like a failure each time it showed negative. Then of course AF showed up. So I am trying to think of ways NOT to buy pregnancy tests and if I'm temping high temps in the morning (98.0 and above) and if it stays like that for awhile - is that a good sign? How many days of high temps did you have before taking a home pregnancy test?
I believe 18 days of high temps = pregnant
also - you can get cheap HPT online. I think I got mine at SaveOnTests.com
I think I waited 14 days and had high temps each day then used a home pregnancy test and it was positive. The 2ww can be very difficult! Just try to keep your mind occupied... (tho easier said than done)

I was fairly new to charting when I got pregnant, but my temp went up and stayed up for about 2wks or so. In fact, what prompted me to take a pregnancy test was that I said "um, haven't had my period in 38 days but never saw a temperature spike". Turns out I never saw the spike because my temperature went up but never went back down since I was pregnant.
good luck. |
