Just throwing this out there, because everyone from Arlington is so da*n smug about saying, It's worth any price for the commute. I live in Herndon 20171 and go to Tysons near the Galleria twice a week during morning rush hour. 25 minutes door to door. Dulles toll road. Better schools than Arlington.

Op here. Driving. End location is across from the Galleria.

Are evening commutes better or worse?

Getting out of Tysons is the worst. One or two lights can take forever. Evening commutes are definitely longer.

You can look at drive times now more for rush hour. Right now it's 20 min driving time to Galleria. Check again in an hour. Check this evening too.

This early isn't quite as bad. But Tysons is such a CF it does get pretty bad.

Also, depends on which side of the Galleria OP is headed. On the other side of International? Yes, add 10 more now.

I do an opposite commute; but I run on the early side. Vienna to Ballston, but in the AM I go through Tyson's. It takes me 22 minutes typical from 123 & 7 to my office. Traffic does not seem bad the other way. I am leaving Vienna between 6:30 & 7.

(I avoid 66. It is always bad).
