If you think they're getting half the roster to those schools this year, you're setting the players up for major disappointment. They should go into it with eyes wide open.

This is why you don’t argue with fools cause from a distance you can’t tell who is who…..

Capital has a track record which you can easily see and obviously in your case ignore.

But hey we could all make are decisions based on the dumb opinions of some anonymous person on - wait let me check the source “DC Urban Mom”.

They may have changed order, but the top 25 now is remarkably similar to end of 8th grade. The only teams who were in top 20 then but not now are:

Pride Red (now Pride Black #75)
Philly Blast Brave (now #32)
NXT Black (now #27)

Wildly inaccurate. Go look right now. hhh was top 25? Alliance? I can go on and on but I’m dealing with prob the same person that was fighting on the 27 forum for 8 hours so I’ll just end it now.

Do you know how to do an internet search? The only think wildly inaccurate is your own claims, but please go ahead and end it now regardless.
She doesn't even know how to use grammar or a simple mea culpa, something like an internet search would be way over her head.

This fool came into the 27 commit forum spouting nonsense, claiming they are facts until they were proven wrong, he was then told to come back here with his crap so he didn't get that forum shut down like the previous 28 was...

I know, and now he doesn't know how to google search and is making false claims about last year's top 20 for no reason.

That track record was built on top teams because they had top players. Why you will insist that won't change when those attributes change is perplexing. Are you trying to fool people? Maybe just have them go in eyes wide open, as I said.

Coach Leah is the reason the Pride girls crushed it last year....if she was the coach for them again this year they would still be top 10....Capital should hire her away from Pride.

This is just plain logic. Sure, there may be some top recruits as always, but if the 28 bell curve is notably lower than the 25 or 26s, then it stands to reason, so will the caliber of the schools they are collectively recruited to. Recruiting classes vary year to year at every club, why wouldn’t it happen here?

It will start with the ‘27 who have no true standouts. Just a bunch of average players unlike the ‘25s and ‘26s.

I disagree with the tone but not the overall point which I think is Capital posters rely too much on the recruiting success of the ‘26 team which was a fantastic year for them. Does not follow that the ‘27s, who are not a top 20 team will have the same success.

Wrong, that Pride team played so many weak teams last year and it showed when they got into NGLL playoffs and lost to Skywalkers

Okay. Mean-spirited attacks on '27 and '28 teams and Capital as a club, are not worth replying to at length. More interesting things to discuss.

Here are the facts of the situation:

--Capital Blue has been the dominant club in the DC are for ranking, quality of play, and recruiting for years;

--The Capital Blue '25 (top ranking #1; finished at #2) and '26 teams (currently ranked #7) were very successful on the field, and in their recruiting cycles top to bottom, with placements at UNC and other top college programs;

--The '27 and '28 teams are not playing as well and are ranked in the low 20s.

--The question for the '27s is whether the recruiting will remain as, or nearly as, strong this year. We will know the answer in about 3 months.

--The questions for the '28s are whether: (1) they can gel as a team and continue to improve, and/or (2) augment the current roster through tryouts--in order to improve their ranking and positioning for recruiting.

--The question for the top DC-area '29s and their families, who won't know the answers to the questions above when they make their call, is whether to trust the Capital brand, or to look at other options--staying together at M&D DC, or, for the few who can make it, trying out for Baltimore teams like a number of top '28s did.

We are weeks away from seeing how the '29s answered the question; weeks away for the '28s' key questions; and months away for the '27s. The next phase of Capital's evolution as a club hangs in the balance, and we will get a good look at the strength of the recruiting machine, reputation, and past performance.

Get your popcorn. Interesting times. I'm sure the post mortem will be gentle in any case.

You should send a note to Capital as well, from the sound of things there are some players that won't be rostered there either, as they're looking for outside help.
