Anyone belong to MINT healthclub in Adams Morgan?

Just wondering what people's opinions are about it. Is it worth the price?

I have friends who belong and they all like it. They offer a lot of classes, so if you are going to take advantage of those, that might be one way to rationalize the price. I got a 5 day free guest pass in the mail a few months ago, if you could get them to give you a similar deal you could try it out.

I belonged in 06-07 when I lived there. I got pregnant right after I signed up so I didn't use it much, but having been a member of a lot of gyms (currently at the new WSC in south Bethesda), I will say it is one of the nicest facilities I have seen. I remember the locker room being very nice, you share it with their spa area. The times I did go it didn't seem too crowded, but I didn't go much. Can't speak to the classes. I wish there was one near me now

My husband and I just chose it a few months ago over the WSC on Connecticut avenue and we are very happy. The WSC would have cost us each about $80 a month and Mint is $100 or so (I've suspended my membership over the summer and can't remember exactly what it is.) There are various plans too -- you could pay the entire year up front and that would save you some money.

I like it because it feels like going to a spa even when I'm just there to exercise. I've never had to wait to use any equipment (though I do usually go on off hours). The classes are much better than WSC. I went to a yoga class at WSC that absolutely sucked and that was the final straw.
