HRIS analyst salary?

I have a background in data analysis and looking to make a move into HRIS. Any idea of salary?

There are a lot of factors to consider. ie type of company, work you'll do, etc.

At one of the previous places that I was at the job title was HRIS Analyst but the job classification was programmer. So I think the salary scales are aligned or close to each other.

If you do consulting the money is probably a little bit more.

Also remember that there are various sides of HRIS. So you could be the technical lead of the HR department and main person for the front end kind of stuff. While there are others who do the heavy development on the backend side and might fall more under the IT department.

I might've had a similar background as you in that I primarily worked with data. And the brief time as a HRIS analyst was beneficial, where it gave me a lot of exposure to the systems development life cycle. Although I'm thinking that a lot has changed based on how people describe Agile methodologies.

Not to mention to learn all of the HR and benefit related rules and concepts.
