Today I went to picked up my DD from the high school and I over heard this girl talking to her friend she said something like
"A GUY NAME GIVE ME SOME ADDERALL................." I always count the number of pills my DD Has just in case, but how often is this drug abused? |

Very common. If you haven't had a discussion with your DD already, I would.
Kids may not take from their own "stash," but they probably can find additional pills out there if they try. I remember hearing this interview on NPR years ago, the dad realized his very responsible kid was grinding and snorting his ADHD meds for the high vs. taking them as directed. |
| Interesting long read on Adderall addiction and other issues from NYTimes magazine a year or two ago https://mobile.nytimes.com/2016/10/16/magazine/generation-adderall-addiction.amp.html |
| Rampant on college campuses and has been for a while. |
| Extremely common. Kids who have legitimate prescriptions for stimulants end up selling them instead. As PP said, it's time have a talk with with your DD to discuss the dangers of taking too much Adderall, and the legal consequences of selling her own drugs. |
| It's one of the most popular drugs on high school campuses. Kids crush the Adderall and snort to get high. We had pills go missing from my son's prescription bottle after a team event at our house. No way to know which kid was the culprit. I now lock up all household prescription meds in a small safe and I give my son his pill every morning. My husband and I are the only ones with keys to the safe. |
