Democrats would be wise to run Judy Feder against Comstock in '18

Mrs. Feder has had a long track record of Progressive politics and was a formidable opponent against Frank Wolf.

Especially those of us who avoid sunshine and garlic.

Please stop this. No one but the DNC cares who will run against Comstock. This belongs in politics, not here.

I am requesting that Jeff move these Judy Feder threads to politics.

Given that this district is in the metropolitan area, this is probably the appropriate forum. It would get completely drowned out in the other forum.

I have no idea who that is - but I haven't lived in this district for years and years

For all this talk, how many special elections have the Democrats won?

ZERO. Z-E-R-O.

They lost Kansas by nearly double digits. They're not winning the Georgia race. They're not winning Montana. Not South Carolina. Not New Jersey.

And no, they're not defeating Barbara Comstock.

A bunch of paid operatives showing up to scream at a town hall does not maketh a victory. While you get focused on 19th century town halls, Republicans are winning next year's elections already via social media.

such spin

and this paid operatives lie is so laughable. If I could get paid to go to town halls, BELIEVE me, I would be all over that. While people may find out about these events via progressive groups advertising them, they are NOT paid to show up.

It is interesting that until constituents who oppose them started to show up, no one ever complained about doing town halls.

They're not winning the Georgia race.

Poll released last night has Ossoff ahead among likely voters 48-47. 4% margin of error, 5% undecided.

Judy Feder is someone who I hope runs again. She got a raw deal against frank Wolf in 2006 and 2008.

Jennifer Wexton is the best chance. New blood. Has already won as a D in an R district in VA. Not from McLean- helps in the western part of the district. Smart, intelligent, well spoken.........

This thread is not about a special election. Don't know why you are arguing with that angle.

I'd keep a close eye on Helmer, too. The guy is popular with moderate Democrats, men, and veterans and defintely presents himself well. I could see him being a major threat in Western Fairfax/ Loudoun, especially.
