| Has anyone else heard this? Does anyone know details? |
| Does Janney not have a listserv? |
| people seem to get some perverse pleasure in trolling Janney parents. |
Yes, and it is being discussed there. Imagine that! |
Well, it does seem like they're easily triggered
|
| I'm a parent. They haven't approved my account on the listserv yet. Not trolling, curious and surprised. |
| Good for them, honestly, if they picked an underprivileged school w/o sufficient funds. What's the issue? If parents don't like it, they won't donate and/or will vote out the PTA. It's not like they're doing it secretly. |
| This would be Janney jumping the shark. It would make for great musical theatre, if it happens, but I would be shocked if it did. |
Or people post as Janney families. It's an anon forum, remember.
|
I'm not a Janney parent, and even I notice that the school is a favorite target around here. No wonder Janney parents get annoyed with it. |
| It's amazing what a little national media shaming can do. |
Too bad they probably can't actually do it legally. They will have to have a separate fundraiser. |
| Janney parents already fund less 'privileged' schools. It's called paying 'bigly' DC income, property & sales taxes. |
Not a Janney parent either and not even in the league, but some of them have been annoying as hell and even I noticed that. |
So you judge entire schools and their parent communities based on a few anonymous posts, which are just as likely by trolls who want to keep stirring the anti-Janney pot? Do you approach everything online with this level of critical thinking? |
