Good vacation spot / resort for 8-10 month old?

We're tired parents and need a vacation but want to take our daughter. We realize it's more for us as she's still too young to enjoy vacation activities more than regular life stuff but we're craving a get away.
We're okay spending some cash but not crazy amounts. Ideally 2-3 hour flight max from DC. Ideas? |

| Check the travel board for more ideas, but we d went to Finest resort Puerto Morelas near Cancun when our daughter was a year and it was great -- they had baby toys and big beach beds (she'd crawl around between us and play). We got a two bedroom suite with a roof deck so had plenty of space to hang out while she napped or slept. |

| Club Med Sandpiper...still USA with a pharmacy etc close by....day care is excellent, night time as well if you want dinner, drinks without a stroller........we love it there....have been there many times with 4 kids over 24 years .......great time! |
