Wait List movement for OOB DCPS and Charters?

Anonymous
In the past 2 weeks have had offers off of the wait list from EL Haynes and Janney. Are any other waitlisted children being admitted?

I'm particularly interested in DCPS schools (not so much charters)

Curious as well. Anyone get in OOB for pre-k. If so how far down the waitlist were you. Just wondering what are chances look like for next year.

My K child was number 37 on the Haynes wait list. Haynes has opened (school started yesterday) a third K class, so there was a lot more slots than any other grade, where there are only 2 classrooms. It seems like their plan is to have 3 classrooms per grade going forward? The women I spoke with seemed clear that the plan for this year's K class at least, was to continue with 3 sections.

We were offered spots off the preK waitlist at Janney (we were #3, in bounds) and Murch (#15). We took Janney.

We gave up a K slot at Haynes, the commute wasn't going to work with our schedules.
