Can you tell me about Churchill road elementary General Ed program?

Anonymous
We are moving into the area and will attending Churchill Road Elementary. We did not apply for AAP. Can anyone tell me how it compares to AAP? Is it comprehensive enough for a bright child? Is it creative enough as well? Or is it very basic level learning with lots of worksheets.

TIA

We are in a different school in the Langley pyramid and came in too late for AAP (we came from overseas, and weren't interested in testing.) It has not been an issue at all. My kids were eventually put into selected AAP classes and advanced math, so while they are not in the full AAP program, they were able to participate in portions of it. When my oldest hit middle school (Cooper), he was able to do honors with no problem. All are challenged, but not overly taxed, and they really enjoy school.

^^ Further to this, they don't really do many worksheets in the general ed program. They may have some math problems on a worksheet, but one would elect that and it's usually not onerous. A lot of their work is project-based, done in class. They will have to read a few novels at home, as well as work on history.

^^ one would expect, not elect.
