Since when is Chavez a "friend" of Obama's? You apparently don't realize that there is a broad spectrum along which foreign leaders fall and Chavez is definitely not at the farthest end of the friend side.

You seem to feel the need to brush Obama with whatever tar Chavez deserves (and Chavez deserves plenty). What a knee-jerk reaction!

Just tongue in cheek---one of my friends called Obama a member of the Chavez 'book club'. I did think that was pretty funny. I don't think Obama is a friend of Chavez per se. He is playing a tricky hand in Latin America and trying some new detente strategies. Still, coming out on the side of Chavez type policies (this is what those lead to...) in the case of Honduras was knee-jerk and ALL wrong. Notice we have been mighty quiet on Honduras since. Sometimes I wish Obama would just analyze a little deeper at the onset ....
