Legoland in Calif. for a 3.5 yo boy?

Anonymous
We're headed to San Diego and wondering if our 3 y.o. boy would enjoy Legoland. Would appreciate feedback from anyone who has been with a kid this age. The prices astounded me ($55 for the 3y.o. and $65 for each adult!), so I want to make sure it's age-appropriate. thanks!

Can you get a discount coupon like from AAA?

OP here. Thanks for the suggestion, but don't belong to AAA. I realized that Disneyland costs even more (almost $100 for each adult!), so I'm relaxing a bit about the cost IF I think our son will enjoy it.

It is absolutely appropriate - we took our DS there when he was 3.5 yo. It is very laid back, friendly, not overwhelming. THere is a junior driving school for the under-5 set that my kid LOVED - he got to drive his own car without an adult in the car around a little track - plus there was lots to do with him and a parent - like operate a fire truck to put out a "fire" and more. I can't recommend the place enough. Plus, you can sometimes get discount coupons through Costco - if you have a membership, you can just go to a San Diego Costco when you get there and pick up greatly reduced tickets (this is true for Sea World etc. as well). Good luck!
