huh? I've attended several I would consider extremely conservative.

Funny thing is that people here dress down to go to church. In my hometown, the service is less conservative, but people don't wear jeans or shorts to church.

St Thomas More in Arlington is conservative. priests just taught the kids in school that Mike Pence is right that men should not hang out with women other than their wives and spoke during a homily about how women should not work.

The Arlington archdiocese is one of the most conservative in the nation....surprising given Arlington's politics. ADW is much more progressive.

Yes, Arlington is extremely conservative - among last holdouts not to permit girls to serve at altar. I also experienced some hair-raising sermons at St. Mary's in Old Town (I'm normally a Holy Trinity/Jesuit deep-breaths person).

Within in DC proper anywhere within Northwest would be out. I'd suggest The Basilica of the National Shrine

St. Athanasius in Vienna. They don't follow Vatican II and are friendly with (though not officially part of) SSPX. They have an affiliated school, St. Anthony Academy, that follows a curriculum straight out of the Middle Ages.

Really? Oy. We're moving back to the area and our current church is very "social justice" oriented. I'm going to miss it
