c-section with muscle stitch/tummy tuck at same time

Has anyone actually had this done? How did you arrange for it? Two doctors or one? Recommend your doctors (I'm in No. Va.) Was recovery much differnt than just having a C? Cost? Result? Any advice/insights would be helpful. TIA.

Nobody has done this? Have you heard of it being done?

I asked my OB about doing a little extra after a scheduled CS, and she laughed at me. The end.

I think this is an urban myth started by a celebrity rumor. I really don't think they do this.

i'm sure you could find a doctor that would do it. just like octomom found a doctor that gave her 8 babies at a time, but its not a good idea. it sounds like you're killing two birds with one stone, but the problem is, that nothing is where it should be, you have lots of extra fluid and stretching and the doctors really don't know what they're working with. you could end up with a very crooked or lumpy tummy. you really need to wait until the swelling goes down post birth before you can get good results.

Most certainly an urban myth. I'm a tummy tuck patient (3 years out, don't regret a thing). Here's a link to another thread on this topic that I weighed in on, including reasons it would not be possible. The biggest reason is that a tummy tuck removes excess skin to fit the natural waist contour. Immediately after delivery, the uterus is still enlarged and so the skin isn't "excess" yet, so there would be no way to close the incision!
