| i am wondering how out of whack my cycle will be after 3-4 months straight of birth control pills, stims, FET drugs, etc with no break. |
| In my experience your cycle gets a little wonky, kind of like your body doesn't know what to do without all the drugs. After about a year straight of treatment I had one cycle off and it was about twice as long as my pre-treatment cycles. I'm now in another off cycle (probably for good) and am already several days past what I think of as normal for getting my period. I'm hoping the following cycle will be back to a standard number of days, but who knows. |
| Like I will just ovulate much later than normal?? |
|
Yes. I would probably call/email your nurse and ask at what point you should be concerned. I ended up going in for bloodwork/ultrasound a couple times to see if there was a problem, but they didn't find anything. I had a prescription for Provera to take if things had gone on much longer.
I don't know how typical this is, but I've talked to other people who've had these weird long cycles after coming off several months of treatment. I don't think it's unusual. |
| Yeah I figure if I really don't ovulate they can just give me Provera when I'm ready to start my next cycle |
| I have always gone back to normal immediately, but I also never had any issues with ovulation. In fact, I once ovulated THROUGH estrogen while preparing for a FET. But everyone is different. |
OP here: I was very irregular before, and had finally gotten pretty regular, so that's what concerns me. |
| i think it depends how you were before treatment. if you were irregular my guess would be that you would become irregular again. FYI i was very regular before all treatments and i immediately reverted to regular cycles after treatments, miscarriages etc. |
