Great synagogue for LGBT families

My (same-sex) spouse and I, and our kids, have been members of Adat Shalom for the past few years and have been really happy there. Reconstructionist Judaism is a perfect fit for us - all the ritual of a conservative practice with progressive politics and an intellectual rather than faith based approach to scripture. We have become very close with other LGBT families who are also members.

If you are looking for a synagogue, and particularly for Jewish education for your kids, please consider attending Adat Sahlom's Torah School Open House

Saturday, May 6th, 2017
from 10:15 a.m. to 12:15 p.m.
7727 Persimmon Tree Lane, Bethesda

Bring your children, see our school in full swing, and:
· Learn more about our focus on nurturing children’s appreciation of Judaism within a Reconstructionist setting.
· Ask about our special one-year rate for non-members enrolling children in Torah School grades K – 2nd grades.
· Meet Rabbi Julie Gordon, Director of Education, teachers, other parents and students.
· Join us for our weekly community oneg lunch at 12:30 PM and meet Rabbi Fred Scherlinder Dobb and Hazzan/Rabbi Rachel Hersh.

Torah School classes are held on Saturdays from 9:30 AM to 12:30 p.m. We also offer Wednesday afternoon Hebrew School
classes and Hebrew educational alternatives to best meet your schedule.

RSVP to tsinfo@adatshalom.net or call (301) 767-3333 x101 if you plan to attend.
