Better Call Saul

I couldn't find an existing thread on this show-- surprising!

Tonight's episode was so worth the wait. Loved seeing the return of several key BB characters!

If you were a BB fan, are you enjoying Better Call Saul?

Loving the Jimmy/Chuck dynamic. I feel bad for Jimmy. Chuck is an insecure asshole. What a family!

I love this show. I remarked to DH last night that the stakes seem pretty low--you know what characters are in Breaking Bad, so you know whatever happens, they aren't going to die on Better Call Saul--but the storytelling is so good that it doesn't matter. You're still on the edge of your seat in the moment, wondering what's going to happen.

Also, the location scout this week deserves an Emmy. Some gorgeous scenery, especially in the Mike scenes.

But then we have Chuck and Kim, and we really DON'T know what comes of them in BB. Chuck (and his wife, what happened to her?) have me really thinking. And Kim! What happened to them in the end? I can't wait to find out!

Well - at the end of last season, be was about to shoot Hector Salamanca (the guy in the wheelchair in Breaking Bad) when he heard his car honking and saw the note on his windsheild that said "Don't". So, I assume it is his gang...

I love this show too, and I was absolutely obsessed with BB. My theory is that it's somehow Gus's gang who is tailing him and who told him not to shoot Tio. Doesn't Mike eventually wind up working for Gus?

I find Mike riveting. He says so much without saying much at all - just his expressions. I love how smart he is. Trading the GPS was genius. Small things like that make the show so good. Even a scene that seems to be moving slowly is so intriguing.

I'm hoping Chuck gets his comeuppance somehow. And I wonder what ultimately happens with Kim and Jimmy. I think they seem so well-suited, but she probably finally can't take his law-breaking ways. I love Jimmy!!

Side note: I like Kim, but can't stand her one-curl ponytail. Mix it up a little, Kim!

I completely agree. She is so put-together, except for that dang ponytail!

The chuck/jimmy thing makes me weep--because my asshole brother has treated me the same way--like i'm not a real lawyer because I went a less traditional route. Painful to watch.
