Ward 6 Councilman, Charles Allen (D) has an issue fixing potholes

I'm done with this guy, next election, I'm voting him out of office! I ahve contacted him on numerous occasions to fix several potholes in front of our condo and he hasn't done anything.

I thought we were in the middle of "Potholepalooza" and all potholes were supposed to get fixed within 48 hours by calling 311. That's what the Mayor said on Kojo a few weeks ago.

Why did DC residents in Ward 6 elect this guy? Simply because he was a Democrat???

He doesn't return my calls or emails and whenever I have had him return them, he gives a vague response that makes me question his commitment to being a DC Council member.

DC has had GOP council members - David Catania, and before that Carole Schwartz. Also the Statehood Greens are an alternative. They did not necessarily do better than Dem CM's.

People always complain about local govt.

I have had great luck with his office being responsive to my needs as a constituent. As Jeff has already posted, you need to report the potholes to the city 311 site.

Allen's office can do that for you, but if you have the ability to post to this site, you have the ability to report the areas that need pothole attention yourself.

Or, reach out to your ANC for support. The request is a 311 request, but the ANC can help follow up on it.

We are constituents of Charles Allen and think he is great... he is tackling a lot of issues that affect title 1 schools in the area and has done great stuff. he's definitely not focused on potholes, and for that, I am grateful.

Please elaborate a SINGLE THING that Allen has done for schools in Ward 6. Because I've yet to see anything aside from a photo op.
