Special Occasion Dress for 12 year old

Are there any specialty shops around that people can recommend?
We are looking for a dress for a wedding, and also a bunch of bar/bat mitzvahs next year, including one special dress for a family member's.
We tried Nordstrom and Lord and Taylor and they had nothing! Not even being picky, they barely had anything.
Any suggestions?

Francesca's x 1000. I have a 12 yo as well, who happens to be extremely picky, but managed to find at least 3 dresses there that she really liked. They only sell dresses, and the staff is extremely helpful. I hope this helps!

Nordstroms at Tysons. Much better selection than other nordies IMO, nice customer services. They help pull stuff for you.

In my next life, I would open up a store to dress girls 10-14. So hard to find! Almost all dresses are either too old looking or too young. Very hard to find the right fit!

New poster. I love this store?. Although, they sell more than dresses as my daughter got very nice vest that one. I also know it is so many different types of shirts there as well. All of this in addition to dresses that they sell.

depending on where you live, they've got one in Old Town and Tysons Corner mall.

There are only a handful in their stock, but I saw some lovely size 12 dresses at Full of Beans in CCDC on Friday.

If you have any other reason to head up to NY/NJ areas, there are many tween/teen girl dress shops in those areas and you could make a stop. I, too, don't understand why there are so few of these shops in the DMV.
