Labels when women marry women or men marry men?

Anonymous
Today my 4 year old asked me, when women marry each other, whether they are both called "bride" or if only one is called "bride". I told her I didn't know, but that probably people getting married can be called whatever they want to be called. Is there a "standard" title / label or is it up to each couple?

Both spouses are "brides" and both are "wives."

Op here. Thanks! Strangely I knew both would be "wife" but in my morning stupor didn't extend that to both being "bride".
