Spring Break and ADHD D

Does your DC take their pills doing break? My DS will take it tomororw, but I know some parents think is better to not give pills doing breaks.. Why is it a good idea to have a medication holiday?

Some people do it to counteract weight loss - give child a few days (or summer) to try to gain some weight.

It depends on how the ADHD manifests itself, and whether your child can function without it.

My inattentive child does not need it when not in school. My hyperactive child cannot function without it so he takes it every day.

right now he has a 3.30 GPA. I know that is not high but still good for someone who has an IEP/ And all Team Taught Classes with ADHD, so I know they are helping him.

What are you taking about, 3.30 is something to be very proud of!

Good job mom, I know how tough it is & although my son is only 10, I think a 3.30 goal is something great to strive for.

I am happy with that gpa, but sometimes he didn't do as well as he wanted to do in Biology doing the 3rd marking Period.

My middle schooler is now going pill-less when not in school, due to extreme weight loss. This means there are more problematic behaviors to manage and if he has projects to do, he needs reminders and guidance, but I'm ready to do anything to get him off that 2nd percentile weight curve!!!
