Expectant and Postpartum Moms

I feel like its early for me to feel like this but I am so tired and boiling hot all the time.
Today I felt vaguely sick and slightly dizzy all day. Is this normal? |
| Welcome to pregnancy! What you are mentioning are common pregnancy symptoms, yes they are absolutely normal...! |
| I feel you sister. I'm 7 months and a week. I sleep in a t-shirt and shorts with the ceiling fan and an oscillating fan going with no covers; not even a sheet. |
| Just think...we get to go through this again during menopause! |
Yep. And you've still got 2.5 months to go. Hang in there, sister. I'm at 8.5 months with #2 and I had heartburn today like I can't even describe. It's all part of the fun. |

Hang in there. I remember when I was about that far along with my first that I couldn't imagine getting any bigger. But, believe me, you will!!
Eat lots of cold fruit, that really helped me when I was at the end of pregnancy in the summer. |
*nod* And the pool. Get yourself in a pool if you can. It feels good, you can float, and it takes all the pressure off your hips. It's just good. |
| Ditto to the pool - I'm 7 months and feeling the same way. Thank god for central air and the pool! Cold fruit is a great suggestion, too. As for being dizzy, nauseated and tired, I have days when I need more than one nap and feel vaguely unwell - I think this is normal. My best days right now are definitely spent floating in a pool. |
| I was so excited to get into the pool and then I did, and I didn't feel that 'weightless' feeling. i still felt really awkward and my hips hurt when i did some laps, and it was hard to get my stroke right. i'm 27w and the summer has just hit me full force. i guess we were all lucky that july wasn't so brutal. i'm swollen an have a headache, and feel cranky. |
| Stick a big water bottle in the freezer and carry it with you the next day everywhere you go. It will help a lot with feeling hot. Sounds counter-intuitive but exercise. It will give you more energy. Take a walk early in the morning to avoid heat. Eat as healthfully as you can. Both exercise and eating right (if you are not doing both already) will give you more energy. Oh, and, the obvious...LOT OF SLEEP when you can. |
