i mostly walk in them anyway. I am overwhelmed by all of the choices. I love the feel of Brooks Launch 3 but would like to try something new, in part because they are ugly and didn't last very long.
Thanks! |
| NOT Nike. I've found them to be the narrowest of all the running shoes I've ever worn. I like the Brooks Ravenna which is not as lightweight/quasi-minimal as the Launch. I've never had toe bix issues with Asics or Saucony although I feel that they are a little stiff underfoot. |
| I'm obsessed with my Hokas. |
| New Balance are known for a roomy toebox. I like my Rykas for walking. |

I just want to commiserate. I'm trying to find the right shoe and I am struggling.
I just ordered the Mizuno Wave Rider 20. Very comfy. We'll see how it works out when I run.... |
| I was going to suggest Nike. Yes, it is narrow in the heel, but the toe box is wide imo. I've got bunions so I need a wide toe box. I used to wear reeboks because they also have a wide toe area, but switched to Nike when i started training for my last marathon because they were so much lighter than the reeboks. The nikes performed so well during training and the marathon (no blisters on toes) that I just got a new pair. |
| Asics have wider toeboxes in general, but many of their models come with hefty pricetags. |
| Altra shoes (1.0 or 1.5) - look funny but they have the best toe box around |
| I love my Brooks Pureflow 6 running shoes. My foot is wide across the toes and these shoes fit me perfectly. They're super lightweight. |
| I use Asics. I have a "tall" big toe, and find that Asics are the most comfortable for me. |
| Brooks for sure- but don't recall the style. |
+1 I've gotten blood blisters with other brands but not with Nike Frees. They have a narrow heel and roomy toe box. |
| Asics. Most comfortable running shoes ever. |
I am the exact opposite. |
