Cleaning ladies rough on house

Anonymous
I'm home while the cleaning ladies are cleaning and can't get over how rough they are being on our house. Stomping around and it sounds like they are banging things around. I'm worried about our floors or furniture being damaged. Has anyone experienced this? I'm getting fed up with cleaning services and almost want to just clean myself.

Then do it yourself.

Maybe you need to switch to an old-fashioned housekeeper, not a team whose members keep changing around and who may not feel as accountable to you.
Lots of houses on my street use the same lady. Perhaps you can ask your neighbors?

almost want to clean yourself? No don't resort to cleaning, that's too extreme. Maybe if you paid them more, you would get better service. Just a suggestion.

I had a similar experience when I hired a cleaning service before selling my house. It was ridiculous, they were banging everything and like you, it sounded like they were going to break something. I was really annoyed about it, but they didn't end up breaking anything. They did knock off the top part of one of my blinds (and couldn't figure out how to get it back up, which is why I knew about it), and move stuff around and didn't put it back in its place. Although I hate cleaning, it did make my glad I don't bother spending my money on a regular service.

I had cleaners that were too rough on our house. They were banging up the baseboards. Things were dropped and shoved! I found their rags on top of my sunglasses, etc. - disrespectful! It was 2 women and it sounded like I had 4 teenagers wrestling in here. One would be fighting with her boyfriend on her cell phone while cleaning, lol. I work from home and can't believe I put up with them at all.

I'm paying a little more now, but I found cleaners that do a better job with less roughness!

Yes, they are rough on things. If I had time to clean the house myself, I would.

That's why I always leave the house when they arrive.

If you were paying for regular service, you wouldn't have that problem.

I've had the same cleaning ladies for about 3 years and haven't had any issues with how they get it done. They take direction from week to week if I have a special cleaning need, but otherwise they do their job as they do.

My house cleaners drop things all the time and are also loud. I'm temped to switch to a different cleaning service.

They need to rush through houses in order to meet their quotas, and they have no personal commitment to you, so they are rough. I have noticed dents in my baseboards, etc

Did you ever wonder about them gossiping about your house to a neighbor?

I have only had this rough stuff the few times I have had a 'team' clean and I have never had great service from them. I had these 'teams' the times I have received cleaning as part of my 'health care' benefits, been gifted cleaning and once, when someone we used as an individual was out for 2 months b/c of travel. Never my primary choice.

I am truly curious - those saying 'clean your own house' and calling out lazy - is it that you enjoy cleaning? I have ZERO desire to clean bathrooms, dust, aimless vacuuming. I honestly don't mind giving the kitchen counters a good scrub but I am thrilled to pay someone to clean my refrigerator, put away toys and clutter. I am not lazy just find no satisfaction in any of this work
