| We will have a 48 hour layover in LA this summer with two girls ages 11 and 13. Looking for fun things to do during that time. Not interested in Disney and would rather not do the beach since we will be on our way to Hawaii. |

Venice: Abbott Kinney (lunch, fun boutiques and funky shops), walk Venice canals, rent bikes on Washington near beach and ride along beach path. You can use Uber to get around.
Hollywood: Amoeba records, Sunday's farmers market, grab lunch. go up to Hollywood blvd: walk of fame (not much to do there TBH), maybe one of the double decker stars bus tours. Those look fun. You can see a show at Pantages one night. I think Hamilton is coming in the summer. Or during the day hike Runyon Canyon, beautiful views. Beverly Hills: make reservations for brunch (Tea at the Penninsula) or nice dinner out. Beforehand, do some window shopping. If you have a car just drive around! Nicest homes are in Bel Air, Holmby Hills, Northern Santa Monica, Pacific Palisades and Brentwood. |
