Is there more than one?

I know there are constant recommendations for Athleta for everything.

Dresses?
Athleta.

swimsuits?
Athleta.

Workout wear?
Athleta.

So... I'm curious enough to want to buy something. But the prices look pretty steep for something I can't see in person or try on.
Enlighten me.... what exactly is it about Athleta that makes it so great?

I am a fan, but don't know if I've ever posted about it. So there's more than one lurking about.

I bought a dress from them and LOVE it. I also thought the $70 price tag was steep for a casual wear-to-the-park type dress. But it is really high quality, built in bra, well fitting. I always get compliments on it. I'm small and it's really hard to find things that fit me. Athleta is a perfect fit.

I'm quite tempted to order another. Haven't tried the suits yet, but I'm buying my next suit from them.

I've bought the workout clothing and it is really well made and fits well. The price is higher than average, but I work out hard almost every day, so it is worth getting something that looks good and will last. I would put their quality on the same level as LuluLemon, which is also a bit expensive but very good quality. Why don't you try them? They've got stores in Bethesda and Georgetown, I believe.

I love Athleta. Comfortable and quality clothes. Love their swimsuits. I've never been disappointed.

I don't know aobut stores but they are now (have been?) owned by Gap and their stuff is on that website as well.

It's the built in bra. After years of seeing everyone else in cute little tank dresses and refusing to do the plastic bra strap thing, it is so great to be able to wear one!

The only place I don't wear Athleta is to other mom-centric things, because you walk in and everyone else is wearing it too.

After seeing a picture of myself in a pre-pregnancy swimsuit, with boobs pouring out of the cups and nipples protruding, I immediately ordered a suit from Athleta.

They have many D-cup options which is a necessity for me now...but they are still cute and fun.

Never bought anything else from there - but I do love my new bathing suit!

Athleta workout pants are cut nicely and last forever. The price doesn't seem that steep when you consider how often you wear them. Plus, they carry petite sizes, so no need to hem. Plus, I can order them at 6 a.m . when I'm stilll in my pj's and drinking my coffee (and LuLuLemon isn't open yet.)

Gap including Athleta is having a friends and family sale through Sunday where you get 30% off. I got am email earlier this week. If you aren't signed up for the GAP brand promotions you need a friend to invite you.

I think the poster was referring to the Lululemon store in Bethesda.
