Worried about 15 year old

I might of saw my non ADHD 15 year old in the medicine cabinet. DS was nervous when I saw him and said he has a headace. I have a felling he wanted to try his 17 year old sister medication. She takes Adderall XR for her Adhd. I know he has a big Test in Biology today and he was studying all weekend, I know his very stressed out because he had a 3.6 GPA last semester but right now he has a 3.0.. but the medication will not help him in anyway. I counted them and I don't he took them but can't be too sure... What the best way to talk about this? Did you have to address this issue with your non ADHD child?

If you're truly concerned, lock up the medication. Dispense it to your daughter.

Kids will grasp at any straw when they are stressed out, and while you know the medication will not help him, he can't rationalize through his stressful thoughts at the moment. Give yourself peace of mind and remove anything from the cabinet that might be an issue.

Have a talk with him straight out about drugs, including adderall, after the test.
