Texas de Brazil in Fairfax OR Fogo de Chao in Tysons?

Anonymous
We are planning a family dinner (4 adults, 2 of whom are college students). The kids re huge meat eaters.

Can anybody recommend either Texas de Brazil in Fairfax or Fogo de Chao in Tysons? Or even another Brazilian steakhouse if really wonderful?

Thanks!

There's also Chima at Tysons.

I have never been to Fogo de Chao (the Tysons location just recently opened, but I haven't been to any other their other locations, either). Our family prefers TdB to Chima because the atmosphere is a little less stuffy, but the food is great at both!

I enjoyed China. The salad bar was fabulous - bigger than some of the others.

Yup, third vote for Chima

Texas de Brazil all the way. Meat tastes SOOOOO much better than the other two.

Thanks everyone - OP here.

Looks like parking at Chima can be a pain. We will go for either dinner on a Saturday, or brunch on a Sunday.

How is the Chima valet parking vs. what appears to be parking in a parking garage?

I drive an old car, but I still really hate doing valet.

Any parking tips for either Chima or Fogo? I don't think I'll have a parking issue if we end up at Texas de Brazil.

The best meal will be at chima. If you have an early dinner you can snag a parking space around the restaurant by the tower club. I've done valet too in my mini van. It's fine. Valet parking is free but of course there's the tip.

We were disappointed in chima. Liked the others better, and Texas slightly more so.

I don't remember it being an issue and I've gone during the week for dinner and dealt with Tysons rush hour. I think the garage is just across the restaurant...?

What about Chima disappointed you?

China is the better of the bunch but that isn't saying much.

If they are big meat eaters just go to a nice steak house.

I must be the only person here that misses the Malibu Grill.

Went for a dinner. 4 people 370$ spent. We saw a waiter 4 times who served tiny slices of meat. No more. Not going there ever again. Service is slow. Stingy on drink quantity: drinks with eye dropper food is C, meats are tasteless. Will NOT go back, ever!
