Livid, I'm just hearing your story for the first time. But, I want to thank you. I'm also a fed who was undergoing fertility treatment and tragically had to terminate a very wanted pregnancy. I have a rare gestational disorder that can become life threatening very quickly, but had only gotten to "crisis" not "dying in 10 minutes" when I decided to terminate. I ended up at PP where I nearly had a heart attack on the table during the procedure. Ended up having to have a second procedure a few weeks later. Worst experience of my life. I am still being treated for PTSD, but I'm so glad to be alive.
Anyway, we also finally had a child through third party repro. It's been amazing. Glad you found your way to your family too. And thank you so much for advocating for women like us. I wish I had known about your effort in 2009 as I would have liked to have helped. |
