| Anyone have any go to souvenirs that you get wherever you go? I like souvenirs to remember the trip but never know what to get! |
| We get Christmas ornaments for the big trips. Weekend trips to Williamsburg don't count. |
Magnets. Used to like mugs but they don't travel well and take up space. It works.
|
| Artwork. Small watercolors/oils of the places visited. Something that hangs. We have quite a collection on one wall. |
|
Whatever the place is known for, or like pp, artwork.
I recently returned from Morocco and got a beautiful carpet. When I went to Ireland I bought a cute pitcher from Nicholas Moss pottery. Things like that. |
| Magnets. We used to get Christmas ornaments but our tree is too full now. |
| We get a beer koozie and Christmas ornaments |
| Magnets and Christmas ornaments |
| a piece of art |
| DH gets Christmas ornaments for family vacations. I get a shot glass when I travel for work. It started when I got my first "big" job that had me on the road 34 weeks out of the year. |
| Jewelry and wooden fish carvings generally |
| Ornaments, magnets, mugs. Occasionally a t-shirt or locally-made thing (i.e. wool stuff from Iceland). |
We only go on short trips, so they count! |
| Magnets and key chains. Kids put the key chains on their backpacks for 'flair.' T-shirts and goofy hats from Disney. Used to do Christmas ornaments. Sometimes a decorative item like a wooden box. Brought a cool beer glass from Belgium. And a set of 4 beer glasses from Cooperstown. A linen runner and thick wool sweater from Ireland. And, I always get the souvenir photo from Empire State Building or whatever. I scrapbook, so I put them in the family photo album. Tervis tumbler from the Key West airport. Ah the memories. |
pp here. i didn't mean to imply those vacations weren't as nice, it's just after a while it gets to be too much. My tree was getting full of ornaments that weren't as meaningful. We didn't need one from Hershey park for instance. |
