I'm having a baby in the fall, and will need childcare starting next winter/spring. I live on the border of Cleveland Park and Forest Hills / Van Ness. I work near Farragut West, and my husband works in NoMa. We are looking for daycare / home daycare options in Cleveland Park and Van Ness / Forest Hills (maybe even Woodley Park), so that either of us can do the drop-off or pick-up as needed.
If anyone has personal experience with a daycare or care provider in those neighborhoods, can you please let me know what you think of any centers / options? Thanks very much! |
| Kinderhaus in Cleveland Park is wonderful! |
Seriously? That would be my last choice. I toured twice and was not impressed. |
| First Baptist CDC in Dupont |
| Look at Broadcasters over Kinderhaus. |
| We considered Broadcasters (but ultimately got a spot somewhere closer to our house) and heard nothing but good things about it. |
My neighbor is there and loves it. "Seriously?" - What you think taking a tour makes you qualified to comment. |
| OP here: Thanks to everyone who replied. Does anyone know of in-home daycare options in the area? |
There are none. Think about it - how much does it cost to have a house in the neighborhood? People who can afford to purchase are not running daycares out of it. |
Good point! Guess I should look into nanny shares if I can't get the baby into a daycare. |
