sears or jcpenney's for family photos

Anonymous
I'm looking for budget friendly but decent photos for my week old baby, husband and I.
Does anyone have experience with a local Sears or Penney's for photos? I live in Arlington but would be willing to drive to another local store.

Thanks in advance.

I've been going to JC Penney's in Columbia, MD for years. The big difference between a Sears and JC Penneys versus a studio photographer is the number of photos they take before your session is over. Even still, I've always gotten good photos.

I buy the portrait club so that we get free sitting fees and a lot of other bonuses. Then, I take my kids several times a year, so it really pays for itself over and over.

We've gone to Sears this year for 3 mo, 6 mo, and dedication. Her 9 mo is in Aug and we'll go back to Sears also. The photographer we've always gotten (same one every time) at the Dulles Town Center is amazing and takes a lot of shots. We bring a couple of different outfits and usually something from home (stuffed animal, etc) that the photographer uses with the pictures (they encourage this). The pictures are great and I think reasonable.

Have friends that have used JC Penney and they have had just as good an experience.
