Montgomery College Summer Youth programs/camps

Does anyone have feedback on Montgomery College's summer youth programs/camps? Were they interesting and well run? I didn't turn up much info in my search of past threads.

I'm looking at some 1/2 day art and technology camps at the Rockville campus for DC who will be a rising 7th grader this summer. TIA.

The ones my rising 5th grader did last year were fine. Nothing terribly exciting, but we will sign up for more this year if they ever get the registration going. He did something engineering and something Minecraft.
They are all taught by outside vendors, we didn't have any issues with how anything was run.

I was curious too.

Can anyone else offer more feedback?

bump for any feedback - any particularly good or bad classes? thanks.

DD did a digital arts class...meh. She had already taken an MCPS middle school class that was much better. Later she did a similar class at Renaissance Art which was much better and more fun.

Are they all in Rockville, or do they have some in Silver Spring? The current tentative list on the website doesn't have locations listed.

They do have some in Silver Spring (at least they did last year), but the schedule is not put together yet. Once they do put it together, the schedule will list classes, times, ages of participants and locations.
My child did a typing camp in Rockville last year (three hours, five days a week), and it was really helpful! This year I plan to sign her up for creative writing. I don't think those camps provide a lot of entertainment per se, but if you have an older kid who can benefit from some extra enrichment at a reasonable price, that's the place to go to.

Circus Camp is amazing! I just signed up DD for her third year. The kids love it and they put on a performance on the last day.
