How hard is it to make a stoddert travel team?

14 year old DD wants to try out.

Has she played club soccer? If not, it will be hard at her age. The other girls will have been playing/training for 4 to 5 years. Club and rec are totally different sports. If she wants to she should tryout, but get some private coaching before the tryouts(even if she plays for a club).
