A thread of optimism: why do you think Trump will win in 2020?

You only need to read this thread to see how the crazies have taken over what once was a serious governing party.

Let people decide

Now, do you commit to respecting the outcome, whatever it is, or will you continue generating hate and conspiracy theories?

I think that’s a good question to Trump. He is the one who says that Americans are conspiring against him and seeks Russia to hack American servers.

Some Americans were indeed conspiring against him. Worse, they were supposed to be public servants, but somehow they thought they were our overlords and protectors.

In terms of Russia, what Dems love to ignore is the fact that it was lovely Obama and his sidekick Hillary who did the "reset" -- and failed spectacularly.

Trump won in 2016 for very valid reasons and, if you and your comrades keep your head in the sand, chances are he will win again.

Comrades? It is your president who worked with Russia and Wikileaks. Mueller has clearly declared that he isn’t exonerated and just couldn’t conclusively prove collusion because of destruction of evidence and lying by Manafort, Stone etc because he promised pardon.

American agencies were just doing their job when the campaign lied about dozens of Russian contacts and didn’t report to FBI. Obama did it by the book by not publicly making a call that Trump campaign is under investigation for Russia contacts and lies. You think IF Trump was in that position he wouldn’t have tilted the scale ?

Trump is a plague on America and Americans have learned a major lesson as reflected by 2018 blue wave. He is not doing himself any favor by his constant lies and tantrums. We are just tired and many Trump voters are already against him. The dem turnout in 2018 was highest in 100 years and 2020 will break all records. He is already behind by 3 million votes. It doesn’t look good. He is behind in AZ, IA and tied in TX.. TX.

Tough to take you seriously when you lie in the very first sentence. The most substantive finding of the Mueller report is that, while there was Russian interference (enabled by Obama's incompetence and inaction), there is no evidence whatsoever of collusion or cooperation of Trump with the Russians.

You have been lying for years, and amazingly continue to do so.

This, 100%.

After the performance yesterday by the liberals in California at the Democratic Convention, Trump may skate to an easy win.

The welcoming cheers 2020 presidential hopeful John Hickenlooper received when he first graced the stage at California's Democratic Convention quickly crumbled into boos and jeers after he rejected socialism as the answer to Democrats' problems.

"If we want to beat Donald Trump and achieve big progressive goals, socialism is not the answer," Hickenlooper said to a crowd of more than 4,500 delegates and observers on Saturday.
Before he could get finish his next sentence, a chorus of boos along with a sea of waving "Bernie" signs overtook his speech, lasting for more than 30 seconds. The moment prompted Hickenlooper to attempt a smile and eventually break from his remarks to add, "You know, if we're not careful, we're going to end up helping to re-elect the worst president in history."
The former Colorado governor is one of 15 Democratic candidates to address the San Francisco crowd, which is known to be home to some of the party's furthest left progressives.
The moment seemed to pass until Hickenlooper started to speak about "pragmatism."
"We shouldn't try to achieve universal coverage by removing private insurance from over 150 million Americans," he said to growing boos. "We should not try to tackle climate change by guaranteeing every American a government job."

Hilarious and sad. I actually feel for any mainstream Democratic candidate. They now have to contend with the radical leftists who refuse to listen to reason. What a bunch of twits.

Hey Boomers?

Is optimism still high if you think millennials are going to come out and vote in record numbers?

I’m Gen X and couldn’t care less what millennials do or don’t do. They are the laughingstock of the nation.

I'm surprised to say this about a Trump supporter - but I think you missed the point

Flynn, Manafort and Stone, all indicted.

Not for Russian collusion, numbskull.

And Capone was brought down for tax fraud

Guess he wasn't a mobster

Liberal "logic" is beyond belief

Let's just agree that we both think the other side is stupid and ridiculous and probably also evil

It'll save your fingers having to type it out over and over

See, I didn't say that or even imply that, and I don't even think that.

But it's fascinating how you moved the argument from an actual argument (that logic you used was truly absurd, but perhaps you are a very smart person just having a bad day) to a general characterization of a group of people.

Must be a (quite unfortunate) habit of mind.

See, you're just wasting precious finger motions again trying to call me stupid without using the word stupid.

My new resolution is just to ignore the troll-y posters like you. Hopefully we can have some better engagement/conversations here if a number of us decide to stop falling for your bait.

Have a great weekend.

DP. You’re the one projecting, not the PP.

This is about the 4th time I have seen this article linked here.
It makes me chuckle, actually. You were able to find this one voter who was willing to go on CNN and express his opinion.

When was the last time CNN had voters on who DIDN'T vote for Trump last election but vow to in 2020? (rhetorical question - we know the answer)

When Cult 45 believes he will win without any data to backup that is delusional. But go ahead and continue your delusions.

Yeah, keep believing that. After all the cult needs something to believe on. The liar has conned the cult and you guys are now in denial. That’s just the first step. Many more to go but eventually you will get to your senses. But it may be too late for some of you.

The data was correct, he lost by 3 million and he always had 30% chance as per 538 stat analysis. That is much better odds than most sports game winning odds between a top team and an avg one

Read the report. Stone is in jail for Wikileaks contract and the case is pending . Flynn lied about Russian contacts. Manafort is also not done yet.

If the nutter on this thread is any indication, there’s no way in hell they will respect the outcome - unless their candidate wins, however. Exactly how spoiled brats behave.

Didn’t the spoiled tantrum thrower say he may not accept the result if he lost because it is all loaded against him.

Come 2020, when Trump wins you can say that the Democratic nominee won the popular vote and 538 said that Trump had a __ % chance of winning the presidency and so the polls were all correct. And then we will expect the Democrats to rant about how we should select the president based on the popular vote and how the electoral college is a vestige of slavery, and on and on .........

And thereafter, you can argue that the Democratic nominee would have been the winner if only there were no voter suppression, foreign intervention in the election, etc etc.

Nothing will change ............ Democrats will keep whining and complain about how unfair the system is and how only the illiterate and dumb people vote for Trump.
