Declining demographic clings to its racebait totems.
Richmond. Yeah right. Traitors and whites supremacists. Wakanda forever. |
Same. Although I come from a different part of VA. When I heard this anti-patriotic song, my first thought was, “Walmart shopper says what?” Want justice? Go to your ten year hs reunion. Those that bullied you are now dedicated dollar general and thrift store shoppers… |
‘Why when I get power, I’m gonna exact my revenge. BAWAWHAHAHHAHAH’ |
Now wait a second. Their lost jobs are not caused by the green push. It's because (1) Appalachian coal is too expensive, and (2) natural gas is cheaper than coal. |
|
Just to add from a Peabody coal document:
1. The construction cost for a coal-fueled plant is almost three times that of a plant of the same size fueled by natural gas. 2. Employment at a coal plant and the mine that supplies it will be more than six times the employment at a gas plant. |
And regarding the price of coal you can see how Powder River Basin (Wyoming and Montana) is to produce:

You know who does say this about blacks? White trash south of Richmond. |

My Walmart has majority African American shoppers and some white and Hispanic. |
+1. These jobs have been going away for a generation or more. They aren't coming back and the people that live there need to stop living in a fantasyland. |
If only they would stop and just quote rap music? |
What that poster said is basically the thesis of "Hillbilly Elegy" which was written by Republican Senator J. D. Vance. |
This guy, Olivuh Anthony We love to say Olivuh Anthony. With his song, ‘Rich Men from Richmond.’ He’s gotta song, It’s called ‘The Rich Men from Richmond.’ Lotta people like it, A lotta people like it. It's about the Democrat Party. They say it's about the Democrats. They’re trying to steal owah country, They’re trying to steal it. |
True. When you see those pro-coal billboards along the highway, remember the person who paid for the advertisement is buying your vote but most definitely not your coal. |
