| What do you wear if you are casually running about with the kids? I'm a stay at home mom and I have a short black puffer from Jcrew. |
| Oh and I kind of want sweater Uggs. What's wrong with me? I'm on the younger side though (29). |
| Can someone post a link to what this famous North Face jacket looks like? When I hear that, I think of a ski parka. I'm assuming it must be something different? |
|
its probably the ubiquitous color block jacket. Looks like this:

| In the winter, when I am running errands, I really try not to wear a coat. I usually just go with a heavier sweater. |
So do you take your kids to the park? On walks? |
I'm a sweater person too, and if it's really cold, I add a hat and scarf around the neck. When I'm active outside, I don't notice any real chill. But if it's going to snow, I guess I'm going to need something real. I didn't realize North Face came in different colors. All I see around is black, or maybe I'm just not paying attention. |
| I think the NF are fine, just everywhere. I like patagonia quite a bit. A longish black puffer does it for me in the winter. And JCrew always has cute car coats or some such name in great colors for slightly dressier. |
| I prefer Patagonia. |

I have something similar to this in black but I bought mine a few years ago.

I like that. 8) |
I have one like that from LL Bean. It's great in the rain too. |
| The quilted jacket is fine and a little more dressy than North Face, but no less uniquitous -- at least among those of us over 30. |
I think the fact it's more tailored and a bit dressier is key. It seems a little more grown up than the style of the North Face jackets. |
