| What were the reasons and how did they recover? |
| Yes- she was offered her dream job and she took it. Her career is going very well since. |

Yes, I left a high level job w/ a very big company headquartered in MoCo because w/in my first two weeks, I saw A LOT wrong. There was internal corruption, there were major integrity issues w/in my department and between C level executives, and it was just a terribly unstable situation. The day after I started, they brought in an outside organization to perform an audit and when I heard the auditors speaking amongst themselves, I saw the writing on the wall. I didn't even give notice. I put in my resignation, effective immediately, and I let them know that I did not appreciate the way they had misled me during the interview process.
Shortly after my departure, the department head resigned, and then one by one, the rest of the team. If people only knew what was going on there, the company wouldn't have the fandom it currently does. |
| Yes I never went back after my lunch, LOL. Long story, but no one trained me or showed me anything the first 3 days. Apparently the other person much have done the same thing. I knew I didn't want to be there one more day, good decision. My husband laughed when I told him too! Like everything there are some wacky companies out there, can't always weed them out. |
| Yes and she went back to her old job. |
+1 One of the people who had my old job before me apparently left one day shortly after starting and never went back. I think it took several weeks before anyone noticed. It was an amazing story that people told me when I started, but a year or so in I could see why she did that. Amazed I lasted as long as I did. |
| I did. I worked at FEMA for a few weeks. Everyone was very nice but I was completely mislead to what the job was and not happy at all. It was no big deal. I also quit my first job but gave them six weeks notice. My grandfather was dying (ended up dying before I could visit) and they said I could not visit as I went a few months before. I had it and quit. I got a much better job a few months later. |
| I had a boss that worked one work week before sending the whole office an email saying he had to "return to his true love, his wife" -- he had moved to D.C. to take the job while she stayed in a different state. It was really bizarre. |
| I left a law firm after 2 weeks, I was an EA and it was the highest salary I'd made as an assistant back then.....2 weeks in one of the devil wears prada lawyers called me at home at 9pm screaming and cussing about a fax and I need to get my butt back in the office right now to find it, not! I resigned the next day, called it in, didn't even bother to write anything....never looked back and had a successful career at the Big 4 the next 15 years. |
