Beach Vacation with 7 Month Old - Packing Checklist

Anonymous
Hi All - DH and I are attempting our first plane/hotel/beach vacation in May to Bermuda. DD will be 7 Months old then. Hotel is providing Crib and fridge for the room. What do we need to bring? We got her a seat on the plane in between us. She is formula fed so we'll bring plenty of powdered formula, food pouches and ergo for wearing. Should we get a cheap light stroller? car seat? (cars aren't really allowed on Bermuda but we'll need for the flight right?)

Thank you any help would be great.

Light stroller, water filter (change in water can upset baby tummies), few new toys for the flight, blow up baby pool (for the beach, keeps baby contained), crib sheet from home + lovey. I wouldn't worry with the car seat for the plane imo.

If the baby has a seat, she needs a car seat. Otherwise, she has to sit in your lap.

Baby suncreen, white noise machine (it's hard sleeping in a hotel room together)

Passport

sun hat for sure, bathing suit, swim diapers, maybe a travel tent of some sort to have her in on the beach to block from sun

If you can afford it, buy a ticket for your DC. It will make the plane ride much easier.

yes to lightweight stroller and carseat
white noise machine
sunhat
sunscreen
swim diapers and swimsuit for baby
weather appropriate clothing for baby and more of it than you think you'll need
travel size laundry detergent to wash clothing in sink--even if the place you're staying has laundry, it's nice to be able to just wash things out quickly in sink
pacifiers, teethers and pacifier/teether clips for plane
lightweight blanket or 2 for plane
burp cloths/bibs
baby toiletries--travel size baby soap, baby comb/brush, baby washcloth and ziploc bag/wet bag(it's nice to bring your own washcloth when you travel so you can also use it in airport if needed), nail clippers, lotion
baby medicine kit w/ tylenol, teething gel, gas drops, saline drops, boogie wipes, baby thermometer and get the correct dosage of Tylenol from your Dr. before you leave
at least 1 change of clothing for baby and for you in your carry on, just in case
a couple new books and/or toys for the plane
we have a little clip-on stroller fan that is nice for hot weather but I don't think you'd need/want it at the beach. Maybe just for walking around.
