Any feedback on Silver Stars camp? Particularly, are the staff adults or mostly kids? Is there a good staff-student ratio? Do you think it would be suitable for a 4 year old girl who is a little fearful of gym-type equipment (but says she'd like to go!)?

I have talked to a few moms whose kids loved it. The only thing that sounds funny to me is that they regularly feed them popsicles as a snack. OK, they are fun to eat, but given we're talking about a sort of physical fitness activity, one would think they would be a little more health conscious. |
Anyone been there this summer yet? Also interested in the level of supervision for a 3.5 year old? |
My 7 year old spent a week there this summer and LOVED it. I don't know about the younger classes, but overall they were super organized at drop-off and pick-up, and there was a lot of supervision. I didn't mind the popsicles - it's summer and we certainly had ice cream from the ice cream truck every day in the summer when we were kids! |
My son loves this camp but its the snacks that disappoint me. Everyday they get Utz Cheeseballs and lemonade. Certainly nothing very nutritious. |
We are doing the open gym and were disappointed by one lady's attitude (she yelled "Madam, have you paid?" as I was waiting my turn at the front desk). The other lady is very gracious. |
