| Or just ideas you have had. Really, anything but camping. |
|
I was going to say camping. Thats all we could afford when i was young.
We would occasionally spend a week at a low budget motel in an efficiency on a low key not very popular lake. My sister and i would hang at the beach all day with other kids. It was a 4 hr drive away. Those were the fancy vacations. |

You are an asshole.
Also, Dutch Wonderland. |
|
NPS cabins / yurts.
Air B&B can be reasonable. |
|
I've reported the title.
Not cute, funny or okay OP. But you knew that already. |
| Guys relax. OP was referring to her/himself and asking for advice from fellow "poors." Y'all are to easily offended. |
How do you know? What exactly tips you off to that inference? |
| If you're not open to camping, you're missing out. |
| Well, first of all, it's clear that OP is asking advice because they are sick of camping/don't like camping. Otherwise, what's the point of this post? S/he is signaling that the typical richey rich DCUMers need not apply because most suggestions on this travel board are expensive for anyone whose budget includes camping, even the more reasonable posts are typically in the thousands. OP please correct me if I'm wrong. |
It's obvious. |
| She is poor too and looking for low budget vacation options. |
you're worse than my kid.
Op was referring to herself in the title. |
| Camping - if you can afford a hotel you are not doing vacations for the "poor." If I can suck it up and go camping, so can you. |
|
I don't think that DW is a vacation, lol. At least, not for the parents.
How about exploring cities within driving distance like Philly, Richmond, Atlanta, Greenville SC, etc. |
| The other choice is staying with relatives - pick your poison! |
