Need childcare on Capital Hill ASAP - any ideas?

Anonymous

Anyone know of a daycare/preschool near/on Capital Hill that may currently have an opening? My child is 3 turning 4 in November and needs a place asap. My child is only partially potty trained. I need care from 7:30 a.m to 5:30 p.m.

Any leads would be appreciated.

Thank you.

Try Board of Childcare at 15th & C. 202-544-6713. Ask for Ms. Artis or Joan.

I am a former pre-k/k teacher who has become a full time nanny/home-school teacher. I currently live and provide care for a family on Capitol Hill if you are interested in a more personalized approach. However, I am familiar with many of the daycares on Capitol Hill as I have toured and experienced them. If you are looking for a day care, I would suggest the Thurgood Marshall CDC over the Board of Child Care Facility. Additionally, Bright Horizons recently opened a center near Union Station, and I believe Northeast Stars Montessori has a 3 year old program. Best of luck to you where ever you decide to go!!

Tiny Findings in the GAO building is located at 4th and G and runs a wonderful, nurturing, play-based program.
