| My kids are 7 and 3 and we take many flights annually (an assortment of airlines). I can't believe I haven't signed them up for points. I'll start doing it now, but will the flight systems let me use my email over multiple accounts? Will they need an email address for this stuff? |
|
Just create dummy gmail addresses for them. I always collect for the kids. Even if I don't get a free flight I'm usually able to get something out of them, like magazine subscriptions or some other discounts.
Some airlines, like British Airways, have family plans where you can share miles amongst people. |
| Yes, JetBlue also has family pooling. It adds up. |
| Yes, my kids have SW FF accounts. |
| Yes, my kids have Southwest rapid rewards accounts. Once they have 2,000 miles, you can transfer them to another family member. Definitely worth it. |
We have all of our SW accounts hooked to one email.. |
| Only on JB and SW since we can pool. It really adds up. Plus those are by far my preferred airlines anyway. I broke with protocol and booked United for Spring break. Haven't even gone yet and I already regret it. Never again!! |
I didn't know you can pool for SW! Is there any charge? |
See post 8:06. Its a little different than JB, but you can transfer miles. |
| Yes, since they turned two - I just use my email account for their FF accounts. Hasn't been a problem. We have only flown United since they were born. |
