| Seeing some of the responses to Cadence has me wondering how people feel about Credence as a name. |
| Dating myself, but I just think of the 70s and Credence Clearwater Revival |
Not as bad as Pride.
Seriously, not my style, but it's not terrible. I'd go with Prudence or Faith first of the virtue names but no one will recoil ... though she'll likely be asked to spell it. I will bet you plenty of people don't even know credence is a word and will think you made it up. |
| I hate it. I don't know why, but but reading it has "triggered" me like words such as moist, panties, clot, etc. They make me feel disgusted and uncomfortable. |
| CCR |
| Yep. CCR. |
I know a woman, name spelled pride, but pronounced Pree-day. It sounds pretty and I think she's of Indian descent. So may be Credence can be pronounced Crah-den-say like a mashup of credenza and Beyonce? |
+1 more Like it in theory, not sure in practicality. |
+1 I'm 30 and I immediately think of CCR. |
| Hate it. Your poor kid. |
| I'm only 33 and I think of CCR. |
| Cadence is something that happens on a bike. Credence is pretty bad. Sounds like a reach. a far, far, distant reach. |
| I hope this is a troll. Credence is a terrible name. |
| I think it depends, will your child be Born on the Bayou? or Down on the Corner? |
I like the meaning of the name Credence more than the meaning of Cadence. I also think of CCR, but I'm also truly old and old enough to know it's spelling Creedence.
But beyond that, I would think it was religiously-inspired. That's not a positive or a negative. Just my second assumption, after CCR. |
