Why do people say Chip and Joanna are "THE" couple?

I don't sense all that warm and cozy watching them interact. I don't get why people seem to love them so much. Please explain.

I'm with you. She seems a little too bossy and condescending and he seems like he has to be goofy to just deal with her. I don't think they are goals at all.

I don't get what you don't get OP and PP. They clearly have a lot of love and respect for each other and an incredible amount of positive parenting and love toward their children.

I'm a far left liberal lesbian, and I love them as a couple. They clearly enjoy spending time together and respect what each brings to the table. They're cute and don't take themselves too seriously.

I don't agree with the views of their church, but that doesn't stop me from seeing that they're a couple that is tight.

I used to watch hgtv a lot, but I can't stand most of the people anymore. Between these two and the divorcing idiots, I can't deal with a good portion of their line up anymore

My MIL keeps the tv on a lot as background noise - sometimes she pays attention, sometimes not. She's just a tv person. Anyway, we've been spending a lot of time together lately, and I'm shocked at how often this show is on! It seems like it's on constantly.

I think Joanna is very pretty. Nothing about Chip appeals to me. Their relationship seems fine. I hate their decorating style. I'm not sure what people see in them as special or aspirational, other than that they have a lot of money.

I cannot stand 'Chip' and feel that Joanna feels the same way but is stuck because of success of show. I lost a bet recently as I was sure they'd divorce by end of year. Ick - cannot fathom their 'marriage' -

I'm sad for you if you think this is an uncommon or noteworthy way for a husband and wife to interact - with affection, humor, respect, etc.

I think she's so pretty and looks amazing for having 4 kids but still in an attainable realistic way. I think they are totally a one trick pony. Seen one episode you've seen it all. They really never change it up. He's annoying. I also bet they are Trumpers. Just a hunch.

The programing decisions they've been making over the past five years or so have been terrible. The competition shows are seriously stupid.
