Protecting anything with the snow/cold this week?

My mop head hydrangeas are already looking burned - what about other shrubs and clematis that have started to bud? Try to cover up or just ride it out?

I've read that snow insulates from cold temps but I'm wrapping my roses in burlap and putting pots over my crown imperials.

That's reassuring. My hydrangeas taht I'm worried that most about are just too d$#m big to wrap. But I might go wrap my favorite clematis that is already budding up. I figure nature is fickle so the plants know better than I - there will be some loss but hopefully not too much. So sad, given that the garden was coming to life.

I wrapped my hydrangeas with towels and covered them with plastic bags.
Not sure what to do with everything else that is budding

I wrapped my small hydrangea in a sheet. I wonder if they will get crushed under the snow like that?
