Well, the last few PP think everything is RAEs fault. |
No its just one person and they post over and over + they love rae. What's frustrating is they dont understand how things work at the highest levels. Once you see players that dont align with rae tear it up you realize that in a competitive environment rae is dumb. There will always be oldest and youngest you cant get away from this. How players respond to challenges is what brings them to the next level. |
| Everything is just black and white in Aug ma’s eyes. RAE is an important factor, but not what makes or breaks. Same as grade. |
The issue is rae people want things squishy so they can use rae as an excuse for everything. |
| In Aug man’s eyes, everything is grade. If you are on the right grade, you can get recruited. Wrong grade, even Messi would not get recruited |
Messi wouldnt play on a grade down team. Also he wouldnt be shooting for college he'd be going for pro. |
It can be difficult to see RAE at the highest levels because the kids that should be there often quit and found other sports and of course kids don't wear their birthday on their jerseys. You are blinded but what is called survivor bias when evaluating. |
In actuality he was shooting up for height and couldn't afford the meds. |
You are assuming things about players that choose not to play. Theres no such thing as survivor bias. Thats just another excuse mentality that you love embracing. |
HGH for the win |
Google to learn Survivorship bias is a logical error where one concentrates on entities that passed a selection process while overlooking those that did not. This form of sampling bias can lead to incorrect conclusions because the available, "surviving" data is incomplete and often skewed toward success, hiding the lessons from failure. |
Just another version of the same. Make yourself the victim. Don't assume accountability. |
Only victims on this site are the people being subjected to the junk about trying to force kids to play with their grade and all the manufactures reasons why it is a must. |
|
As a parent of an August player who is misaligned on grade, my biggest takeaway from this thread is to look into HGH
On a serious note, the question is what benefits an August misaligned player more: - playing on age and being one of the oldest and top players on A team - playing on grade with kids up to 12 months older and being mid-low A team or mid-top B team I can definitely see how RAE plays a role here. |
Don't forget being ignored by recruiters when your kid gets older if they play down. Also dont buy into the rae nonsense that just because your kid was born a certain month that their entire future is predetermined. Even right now in BY there's all kinds of 3rd and 4th quarter birthdays that are playing up a grade and start. |
