Headfirst at St Luke in Mclean - OK for kids from middle class family?

Anonymous
Hi,

I have two kids 4 & 6 and I'd like to send them to Headfirst camp at St Luke. They had a great time at Arlington Country's summer camp but unfortunately the rest of the camps are all filled. So I'm thinking Headfirst, even thought it's very pricey for our family.

So I want to ask, would my kids fit in just fine with their social-economical background? I don't really know why I'm even having this concern, but I just thought I'd ask....

Thanks!

I would think your child would be fine at the camp. I think you're over-estimating the amount of really really rich people in McLean. Our kids are stuck with mid-level govt employees for parents, but they seem to be just fine in their McLean school and in the McLean summer camps they're attending. Mine are the same age as yours, and I haven't found much class-awareness at this age, though DD (almost 6) does know which friends have a bigger house than we do. None of that should be evident at a summer camp with kids this young.
