My kid with a hearing loss and speech delay did horribly on the WPPSI. I don't really remember seeing a percentile but I wouldn't be surprised if it was 45% or maybe lower. DC is now a middle schooler in independent school and getting straight A's. It really was not a fair test for DC at pre-K and I did not give it much thought then or now. |

Don't have firsthand knowledge of this, but theoretically, just curious, why wouldn't they be doing fine in school? 45th percentile is an average score, so a hard-worker with an average IQ should be able to do well, especially in a school that isn't super-academic, or in a public school where there will by definition be a wide range of WPPSI scores (assuming that many private schools select in part based on high scores).
